One-story house heating system

The installation of the heating system is one of the main points that should be taken into account during the construction of any residential building. One of the oldest types of heating is the Russian stove. When the room was heated with a stove, all the warm air gathered upstairs, while the floor remained cold. Time passed and the Russian stove was replaced by more modern types of heating.

What is the heating system of a one-story house?

Three types of heating systems are mainly used: air heating system, water heating system and electric heating system.

In most modern one-story houses, water heating is most often used. It is based on the circulation through the pipes of water heated in the boiler. Air heating is the rarest, but nonetheless effective type of heating. The basis of electric heating is the process of converting electrical energy into heat.

Let us dwell on the water heating system, which consists of several elements:

  • heat generating boiler;
  • pipe systems;
  • heating batteries;
  • circulation pump;
  • expansion tank;
  • temperature regulators;
  • pressure gauge;
  • safety valves;
  • locking system;
  • automatic air vent.

In this case, the following materials are used to heat the boiler: coal, natural gas, kerosene, firewood and others.

A heating system using water heating in a one-story building is double-circuit or single-circuit. When installing such heating, it should be borne in mind that a single-circuit system is mainly used only for supplying heat to the house, while a double-circuit system provides, along with the supply of heat to the house, and water heating. The best option would be the device of two single-circuit systems. One of them will be designed to supply heat, the other for heating water. In this case, in warm time, in order to heat the water, you do not have to heat the entire room.

The air heating system is subdivided into two types: gravity and forced ventilation. With a gravitational system, the room will warm up due to the natural circulation of air caused by the temperature difference. While with forced ventilation, the movement of air in a one-story house is due to the operation of a fan equipped with an electric motor and air exhaust.

Undoubtedly, each of these systems has its negative and positive sides. You can make the right choice by consulting with designers.
