Types of irrigation systems

Sprinkler irrigation system
There can be two sprinkling methods:

Air irrigation is convenient and easy to install. It has special nozzles for spraying, which are mounted in the pipe at equal distances.

The disadvantages of air rain irrigation include the fact that the water must be purified, and the pressure of at least 2 atm.
Water from a well, lake or other open sources will not work, so if you want to use just such water, then install a filter at the entrance to the system.
In the above-ground watering system of the garden, the quality of the source does not matter.
You can use an ordinary plastic pipe to create such an irrigation and mount it to a depth of at least 80 cm.
Nozzles are mounted in a staggered pipe, which will spray water.
Ground and air irrigation are similar in that they both need pressure. If it is not enough, then use a pump.
The disadvantage of such irrigation can be a problem with the replacement of pipes during leakage or breakdown. To do this, you will need to break the entire wiring system.

Drip irrigation system
Such irrigation is carried out in the supply of water to the roots of plants. You can arrange it so that water flows into the depths of the earth (using droppers) and on the surface of the earth (using a drip tape or hose).
By type, they distinguish:
Gravity watering of the garden is carried out by supplying water under the action of gravity and pre-filling the tank, and the forced one works from the water supply connected to the well.
To create pressure in the gravitational system of watering the garden, the capacity is raised to a height of 2 meters.
During drip irrigation, water enters the tank from the water supply system and the main pipe with branches.
Branches can be made using fittings, and the main pipe must be laid along the garden or in the furrow or along the greenhouse.
Branches of drip irrigation are connected with drip lines along the entire length of the bed. For drip lines, you can take a drip tape with holes or a pipe with droppers.
Drip lines are closed with flushing taps and plugs.
In order to avoid clogging, install a filter, a valve and a gearbox at the junction with the water supply.
Intra-soil garden watering system
This irrigation campaign is like a sprinkler, because the pipes are also underground, but it differs in that there are no nozzles on the surface of the earth.
Watering the garden occurs inside the soil when water seeps through specialized pipes and hoses with pores.
These are not plastic pipes and their cost is slightly higher, but this gives an advantage in saving water.
Intrasoil irrigation does not irrigate a large area, but it all depends on the diameter of the pores in the hose and soil characteristics (how well it absorbs moisture).
If you want to install subsurface irrigation in the garden over a large area, then lay the pipes more often and make the pipeline with the most branches.
Such an irrigation system is perfect for greenhouses and gardens, as well as rose bushes.
Moisture charging irrigation system
Hoping for rain in its climate is not worth it, so artificial irrigation will help you keep the garden and plants fruitful.
Lack of water in the autumn, when the soil and fruits are preparing for winter, can lead to not productivity, but it is disastrous for any gardener.
Water-charging irrigation will be a real salvation in this case, it will help:
- help the autumn growth of the root system;
- keep warm in the soil;
- help not to dry the soil in winter.
Moisture charging irrigation is not suitable for apricot, cherry plum, plum and other stone fruits. Rather, it will be harmful to them. Also, do not use it on clay soils, low areas, places with high groundwater. In this case, site drainage is required.
Installation of a water-charging irrigation system is best done in September, even if it rains at that time.

DIY watering hose system

Water will slowly flow to the roots of the plants, and the weeds around them will remain dry.
Do-it-yourself watering system with fabric tows
Economical and easy option. Dig pots or bottles at the soil level near the plants and pour water into them.

DIY irrigation system for lawn or garden
Screw a plastic liter bottle to the hose with wire and make many holes.
Make a big pressure of water and your device will water for you.
You can also insert pens (tubes) into the openings of the bottle. So the irrigation zone will be larger.
The handles may not last long, therefore it is better to stick them on the glue.
For watering the lawn, it is better to place the bottle vertically, so the flow of water will be more even.
Rules for watering the garden and summer cottages
So that the plants are not sick, it must be taken into account that the water should be warm.
Do not water the beds at lunch or in the sun, as you will burn them and the water will not get to the roots.
Tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers and peppers are watered only after 18 hours to avoid the appearance of powdery mildew.
Water in the morning or in the evening - this is very important!
Watering seedlings is worth every day, and when it takes root, change the watering to 1 time in three to four days.
An excellent option would be to water the garden with the addition of fertilizers for the soil, such as ash (3 tablespoons per 3 liters of water) or onion husk (take the husk of 2 large onions and pour three liters of boiling water, leave for 3 days and strain).
Alternate useful infusions with regular watering with a frequency of 1 to 2.
